Design: Her world of interiors
I grew up on the Atlantic coast in France, so at home I aim to recreate a kind of Continental, relaxed family atmosphere - there are lots of greys, blues and whites to remind me of the beauty of the seascape. But that doesn’t mean that I buy everything in France.

Study: AirTran subsidies paid off
Subsidies given to AirTran have paid for themselves many times over, according to a Wichita State University study.
About 9,700 area jobs and $238 million in payroll can be attributed to the arrival of AirTran in 2002, according to WSU’s Center for Economic Development and Business Research. The Affordable Airfares for Kansans Coalition commissioned the study.
The study also concluded that local and state governments have made money on the $22.3 million they have given AirTran in the past six years.
• The city of Wichita spent $10 million and received $13.5 million in taxes.
• Sedgwick County spent $2.28 million and received $4.24 million.
